Collaged Greeting Cards
During one of the craft fairs I was at I noticed that people were selling handmade greeting cards. I thought it was a great idea. No more Hallmark moments for me! At least not the moments that someone else had designed for me. So I started making my own. The first series was based on book covers from antiquarian catalogs. I thought the idea of having a card with someone's favorite book would be appealing. I also started to create sets of cards that were variations on a theme. Over time the cards I have started to incorporate elements from my other projects within the cards. There are some leftover text roots on some cards, images from my collage bin in others. I even created a few cards with the woodcut robots I used for my "Robots I Have Known" series of artist trading cards. You can find these cards at my Etsy shop.
