Artist Statement from 2006 Windows Arts Malden
I draw what interests me. Watch parts or automobile parts one day, robots and astronauts the next. Maybe ornamental designs or architectural layouts after that. I jumble them together until they resemble half-remembered images from my childhood. Here’s the pattern from my mother’s dishes. Over here is a design from a metal wind-up rocket I had when I was five. Toys, machine parts, rock stars, sports stars, pulp novels, old photographs, strips of wallpaper: memories held together by a line.
